The Hampstead Flotilla of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary offers classes in several areas of boating safety and skills. The courses are taught by the members of the flotilla. For most courses there is a small charge to cover the cost of material required for the class. For upcoming class schedules and course content, continue below:

Boating Skills and Seamanship

Description: A seven  week course taught on Tuesday and Thursday Evenings beginning at 7:00pm . The course is designed to help you become a better recreational boater by giving you the required knowledge and skills you need to boat safely. Certification of course completion can save you money on your Boat Insurance. Call  (910) 686-4414  to register or sent e-mail to address below.  Cost of the course is $35 which includes all materials needed to complete the course. You may also register on the first night of class.

Coastal Navigation Course

Description: A course designed to assist the student in learning how to navigate through hands on experience in a classroom setting.  Cost for the course will be $35. Will need to also buy Nav tools to work with.
