Patrols

On the water is where the action is. Each year, especially during summer,  when the boating traffic is heavy, is the time for the auxiliarist  to weigh anchor and see that folks are boating safely and to assist in case of engine failure or some other emergency. The time spent on the water by the auxiliarist is time and money saved by the taxpayer since that it time and money not spent by the regular Coast Guard. Auxiliarist do receive compensation for the gas they use while on patrol. Below are some of our folks in action.
